I've learned a thing or two riding dusty roads and working around cattle. Not every gate is meant to be opened, and not every pasture is worth turning your horses into.
I've spent enough time reaching out to other groups only to catch a little smack and a whole lot of opinions. That's all right. It comes with the territory.
These days, I'd rather sit on the porch with folks who wave when they drive by than chase after people who never wanted me at their campfire in the first place.
So, I'll keep my friends close, tip my hat to everyone else, and ride my own trail.
There's a reason the Freedom motto has always been No Quit. It doesn't mean fighting every battle. Sometimes it means knowing which ones aren't worth your dust.
Thanks to everyone who's been riding alongside me. You're the reason I keep saddling up every morning.
Illustration is AI generated, however, during my 13 years in Freedom I was surrounded by handsome cowboys like these.
