Anita Waggoner is an award-winning author, screenwriter, and Executive Producer whose work is rooted in the authentic traditions of the American West. A former ranch owner and rodeo stock contractor, she draws upon years of firsthand experience with cowboys, bucking bulls, ranching, and rural communities to create stories that resonate with honesty, grit, and heart.

She is the creator of Freedom, an award-winning modern Western entertainment property inspired by true events. What began as a novel has grown into an award-winning feature screenplay, a completed first season of an eight-episode television series, and a companion documentary currently in development. Her work has earned recognition from numerous screenplay competitions and film festivals, reflecting both the strength of the storytelling and the growing interest in authentic Western narratives.
