MEET OUR CHARACTER ELLIE MCCALL

Ellie McCall is a fictional character currently being developed for Season Two of Freedom.

Ellie arrives at Cedar Canyon Lodge looking for a housekeeping job, but Cheyenne soon discovers she has hired much more than a housekeeper.

The widow of a world-champion bareback rider, Ellie is an experienced horsewoman with a natural gift for understanding people, horses, and the details that make a lodge feel like home. She begins leading trail rides and gradually becomes Cheyenne’s trusted right hand and the emerging manager of Cedar Canyon Lodge.

Ellie lost her husband in a plane crash twenty years earlier and has never allowed romantic love back into her life. But when a lodge visitor arrives to “play cowboy for the weekend,” he may awaken a part of Ellie she thought was gone forever.

Ellie’s Season Two journey reminds us that reinvention does not belong only to the young, and sometimes life’s most unexpected chapter begins after we believe our story has already been written.
