STILL LIVING THE DREAM

For a long time, I believed building a dream meant pushing through every hour, answering every call, and proving to the world I was stronger than my circumstances.
That’s how my story Freedom came to life… one stubborn step at a time, written between real days filled with a hope for second chances. I thought if I worked hard enough, the story would eventually hold me the way a cowboy’s arms once did.
But somewhere along the way, I forgot something important. Dreams aren’t meant to be monuments you admire from a distance; they’re meant to be lived. I learned that the hard way, after too many seasons of hurrying past the very life I was trying to create.
As I begin writing Episode 3 of Season One of the Freedom TV series script, I sometimes wonder if I’ve been so busy writing about my life in Freedom that I haven’t paused to fully enjoy life itself.
I love the writing… every bit of it, but life is bigger than any page I’ll ever fill. I’m focused on gathering moments for the story while learning to hold on to the present just as tightly.
I know it’s worth it, because my story matters, and I trust the day is coming when Freedom will live on the big screen. The balance I seek now is to create the dream and not disappear inside it.
Remember, life is short… make new memories, love deeply, live fully, laugh often, and let yourself be happy.
That truth continues through every version of Freedom… the film, the documentary, the faith-based version, and the television series… each one carrying the same heartbeat: a life rebuilt, not just written.
I’ll continue to live the dream… one page, one prayer, and one day at a time.
