As the CEO and Executive Producer at Freedom Movie Production LLC, Anita Waggoner oversee the development and production of the film Freedom based on her award-winning book and screenplay in the western genre. Anita has more than 14 years experience as a published author and writer of western novels, screenplays, short stories, and poetry. She draws from personal life experiences as an entrepreneur, business owner, rancher, rodeo promoter, and bucking bull breeder in Oklahoma.
Anita's mission is to create captivating and empowering stories that reflect the undying fascination with cowboys, the sport of rodeo, bull riding, romance, and the western way of life. Anita has won multiple awards and recognition for her books and scripts, such as Freedom, Cowgirl Logic, The Gambler, and The Ranch at Huckleberry Ridge. She currently works fulltime on the preproduction of the film Freedom, which is expected to start filming in Oklahoma in 2024. Anita Waggoner is passionate about bringing her vision and voice to the screen and sharing it with audiences around the world.
